Major Tombo

Been sketching very sporadically on a new version of the only character I've ever drawn more than once: Major Tombo. I made him in 2004 for a sort of draw-off on a forum, where there were two teams who'd do artsy battle against one another. Each member of each team had their own character. My nickname on there was, of course, Tombo. My rank, which didn't really have any meaning other than to sound cool, was major. And I was on the evil team. Sadly, the actual battling never took place, and I was one of the only ones to actually design a character. Oh well.

Old versions of the Major in chronological order:Original design, when I still used pencil. Damn ugly, but not as ugly as the one after it.Did you cringe? I sure find myself doing so whenever I look at it.
Last pencil version. Thank god.Dastardly Major Tombo kidnapping a friend's sexy witch character. Oh yes.Newest sketch before the one I'm working on now. I made this almost four years ago. Never finished it, because I didn't really like where it was going.

So now, almost four years later, I finally decided to redo this character. He had changed a little inside my head, and I was actually quite surprised to see how different the earliest versions looked to how he looks now. His hair and face, especially.Wahey! Apparently, he got a bit younger and his hair got a bit more flamboyant. Also, I gave him a sword. Looks kinda katana-ish now, but this may change while I'm working on it. Also, the guns look like shit, but they're just placeholders.

Ok. Bye.
